Rachel Trempe

Founder of Rachel Trempe Creations

Hybrid Artist

Rachel is a hoosier native who found herself smitten by Colorado somewhere in her twenties. She eventually committed to calling colorful Colorado her new home and it is here where we are blessed with her artwork.

Rachel classifies herself as a hybrid artist. She works mostly with acrylics and custom portraits of families and pets. However, recently she has found herself creating artwork in the digital realm making custom wedding invitation suites and digital portraits.

It all started as a gift. She claims she has always been an artist, but had reached a lull in her artwork journey. She wanted to reconnect with her talents and had painted her friend a pet portrait as a Christmas present one midwestern winter. Quickly, through word of mouth, her pet portraits were in high demand. Even though she did not intend for a booming business to flourish from her gift, it did in fact. She found herself creating again and that was the goal afterall—lull no more. Hence, Rachel Trempe Creations.

“I was honored people enjoyed my work enough to commission me for more”. —Rachel Trempe

Rachel has grown her business organically and pulls much of her inspiration from her grandmother who was a painter as well. She states she enjoys being challenged and entrusted with her clients ideas. Many of the areas she has branched into were the result of clients with a specific vision and it is her joy to make those visions come to life.

Her process is different each time as she works with many mediums. She uses many reference photos and likes to keep her clients involved throughout the process in the shared vision. Rachel has built an audience in Colorado but also on  her social media, which features her detailed process of her paintings. Her artwork has recently been showcased in a gallery located in Carbondale, Colorado at the Beerworks brewery. She states this specific gallery was a blend of mountain scenery and wild animals—with a twist.

From hand painted portraits to digital creations, this mountain babe has really found the finesse in her process. Her artwork is astounding and her processes showcased on social media are even more intriguing. Let’s cheer this creator on as she continues to make what she was called to create.
